The first step in using an application is to open it, which is also called launching it. You can do this in many ways, and as you use MacBook Air, you will no doubt develop your preferred method. It may be the Launchpad described in the last section. However, the Launchpad is just one way to open applications. You should try other ways to launch applications too; you have probably already used some of them. Over time, you will probably find that some methods work better for you than others.
